After finding themselves tied with Venezuela at 18 apiece in the first quarter, Team USA turned on the jets to the tune of a 113-69 win in group play at the Olympics.
Kevin Durant scored 16 points but in an unusual twist, Klay Thompson was held scoreless and went 0/5 from the field. Draymond Green added 2 points and secured 4 rebounds for the Americans.
In a lethargic game full of gaffes, former Warrior Harrison Barnes had one that’s going viral. Checking in for the first time near the end of the game, Barnes missed a bunny in the lane, and followed it up with an uncontested missed dunk. He scored 4 points for Team USA.
Congratulations to Dallas for signing Harrison Barnes to a 5YR/$95M contract, look out everyone the Mavs are back!https://t.co/8NmPlt356V

After signing Durant, the Warriors let Barnes walk to Dallas — actually four-years, $95 million, not five as tweeted above. Barnes famously went 5/34 in Games 5, 6 and 7 of the NBA Finals, arguably costing Golden State a championship and his spot on the roster.
