The Giants will take on the New York Mets on Wednesday in a must-see Wild Card showdown, even for those not in love with baseball.
Hunter Pence and Buster Posey met with the media on Tuesday, where Pence fielded an interesting question from a reporter.
Reporter: Hunter I haven’t seen you in awhile. Is that a new look? A playoff look?
Pence: “Yeah, I just created this look instantaneously. I just showed up.”
Reporter: Was it done for the playoffs?
Pence: “No, it was done because teammates were like, ‘Hey..’ (Hunter) Strickland told me he wasn’t going to cut his hair. And I was like, okay, I’ll do that with you. It’s not because I wanted to look like this, it’s because it’s fun to do crazy things with your teammates. Not too many jobs you get the opportunity to look like a bum and have fun doing it.”
Reporter: I take it Buster, you are not going to emulate (Pence) then?
Posey: “No, I can’t pull that one off.”
