OAKLAND — The Warriors ended the regular season with a 109-94 win against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night. Looking ahead at this weekend’s first game of the series against the Trail Blazers, Stephen Curry says the team has a different mentality approaching the playoffs compared to last year.
“We’re chasing something,” said Curry. “We’re not protecting anything this year.”
Last year’s Warriors team faced the pressure of defending their title going into the 2016 playoffs as reigning NBA champions…and we all know how that story ended. Curry brought up the fact that the team has a different mentality to entering the playoffs to help motivate Warriors fans to show up in numbers.
