OAKLAND — It was a strange sight when Andre Iguodala did not play one minute in the second half against the Spurs. Iguodala played just 10 minutes on Sunday, scoring 2 points and dishing out one assist.
The Warriors told the media afterwards he was battling some left knee soreness. Acting coach Mike Brown said Iguodala looked hobbled, which is why he didn’t play in the second half. Iguodala was unavailable to reporters in the locker room after the 113-110 Game 1 win.

Iguodala has not carried over his torrid March and April to the playoffs, which begs to question when did this knee injury originally occur? Iguodala is 3-for-22 from downtown this postseason, and while he’s been solid defensively, his only memorable performance came in Game 3 win over Portland (16 points, 6-of-7 from the field). He’s averaging 7.6 points, 5 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 28.4 minutes per game so far in the playoffs.
It should be noted Iguodala’s back injury heavily influenced the NBA Finals result last year. The Cavaliers were able to find cracks in Golden State’s defense without Iguodala playing at a high level.
