Drew Hoffar of KNBR 1050’s morning show The Audible jumped in the KNBR Digital Lab to talk about the upcoming fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather.
The fight date is set for August 26th, but the trash talk is in full swing.
Conor McGregor posted two pictures to his Instagram account that feature an artist’s rendition of McGregor landing a power punch against a boxer that looks very similar to Mayweather in the background.
Despite McGregor’s confidence, Hoffar believes “the fight is already over” because Mayweather’s boxing expertise.
“What we’re going to pay for on August 26th is all the build up and all the drama.”
Mayweather is the overwhelming favorite to win the fight, given his perfect record as a professional boxer (49-0) and McGregor’s lack of experience in the ring as a true boxer.
