In the bottom of the sixth inning, Jarrett Parker was up at the plate with two outs and the bases loaded. The Giants held a 5-4 lead in the series opener versus the Philadelphia Phillies.
It was a big moment in the game. So much so that a fan at AT&T Park decided to see what it was like on the field.
Parker was looking for his third hit on the night. He had to wait, however, when a fan jumped onto the field from the left-center field bleachers and ran across the outfield before jumping into the lower box seats down the right field line. He briefly escaped one Giants staffer – to the applause of many fans – before being taken shortly after.
Following the incident, Parker grounded out to second to end the inning. Talk about a rally killer.
