Just 157 days separate the San Francisco Giants from Opening Day.
For those of you who can’t wait to erase the memories of a 2017 season that went off the rails, Spring Training is just around the corner.
While the World Series has yet to begin, the Giants announced their 2018 Spring Training schedule on Monday which features 34 exhibition contests. After a 64-98 finish in 2017, San Francisco’s players are eager to start a new chapter, and they’ll do so on February 23 when they host the Milwaukee Brewers to kick off Cactus League action.
Eight of the Giants’ first 11 contests of the spring come at Scottsdale Stadium, and tickets will go on sale for single-game contests starting November 20 at 10 a.m.
The Giants’ Spring Training schedule sets up well for Bay Area fans looking to escape to the desert in the month of March, as San Francisco plays home games at Scottsdale Stadium the weekend of March 2-4, and the weekend of March 9-11.
San Francisco will return to the Bay Area for exhibition contests against the Oakland A’s on March 26 and March 27.
