Curry hits three, looks back at Toronto benchwarmer who tried to distract him

OAKLAND–Things were going so right for the Toronto Raptors Wednesday night until they weren’t.

The Golden State Warriors got on the right side of .500 for the first time in the 2017-18 campaign, using a furious late game rally that capped with a Steph Curry dagger less than a minute left to put the Raptors away for good. That Curry 3-pointer wasn’t the only notable shot from distance on the night.

Late in the third quarter Andre Iguodala found Curry open in the corner right in front of the Toronto bench. One of the Raptors thought he might get into the head of the back-to-back MVP by clapping during Curry’s shot.

Didn’t do much.

The player appears to be Fred VanVleet, a second year player out of Wichita State who’s 0-1-1 line in six minutes didn’t exactly light up the box sheet. But hey, there’s more ways you can impact the game than actually PLAYING in it.

Curry had 30 points in 36 minutes Tuesday night, to go with four rebounds, five assists, a block and three steals against the Raptors.
