On Sunday, Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch sat for the American national anthem during the team’s game in Mexico City — something he does before every game — and then stood up during a rendition of the Mexican national anthem that followed shortly after.
As he’s one to do, President Donald Trump criticized Lynch on Twitter, and said that the running back should be suspended for the remainder of the season, reiterating a stance made in October that any NFL player who does not stand for the anthem should be “fired.”
Marshawn Lynch of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders stands for the Mexican Anthem and sits down to boos for our National Anthem. Great disrespect! Next time NFL should suspend him for remainder of season. Attendance and ratings way down.

Marshawn’s mom, Delisa Lynch, responded to Trump on Twitter, making fun of the president’s failed bid to buy the Buffalo Bills in 2014.

No response from the president as of Monday afternoon, but don’t be surprised to see one if he gets wind of this tweet.
