Michael Crabtree knew Aqib Talib was coming after his chain.
And Crabtree still couldn’t stop him.
According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Oakland Raiders’ wide receiver taped his chain to his body before matching up with the Broncos’ cornerback on Sunday, yet on the Raiders’ first drive, Crabtree still had his chain yanked off of his neck.
Raiders’ WR Michael Crabtree taped his chain to himself before Sunday’s game, knowing he was facing the chain-snatching Broncos CB Aqib Talib. And Talib still got it.

On Oakland’s first series of the game on Sunday, the bad blood that existed from a chain-snatching incident that took place in last year’s regular season finale between the Broncos and Raiders spilled over into Talib and Crabtree’s matchup, as the duo wound up wrestling each other to the ground and throwing punches at one another before both were ejected.
Michael Crabtree still mad that Aqib Talib ripped off his chain last year (rightfully so)… both players ejected. #NFL #Broncos #Raiders pic.twitter.com/qciQko8vdF

Talib snatched Crabtree’s chain off of his neck last year, and amazingly, the Raiders’ wide receiver reportedly took the precaution of taping his chain to his body on Sunday. Somehow, Talib managed to rip it right off of him, and ultimately, their history now contains another ugly, yet interesting chapter.
