OAKLAND – Steph Curry ankle watch, day 23. Food, low. Morale, high.
Ever since December 4 when Steph Curry sprained his ankle in New Orleans, most of the basketball world has been paying close attention to his recovery process. Well, it appears that Curry is close to a recovery.
The former unanimously-chosen MVP participated in his usual post-practice shooting drill with Bruce “Q” Fraser, shooting until he has 10 makes on five different spots around the arc.
We’re not sure how much one could (or should) glean from watching Curry taking these shots, but from what we can tell his ankle looks to be on the mend. Tuesday the Warriors provided a timeline for his recovery, and said he was making “good progress.”

The Warriors haven’t exactly missed Curry’s presence, and have gone 8-and-1 since he’s been out of the lineup. The only loss came to a Denver team, on a night where the Warriors had one of their worst shooting nights of the Steve Kerr era.
Curry will be re-evaluated Friday before the team plays host to Charlotte, Steph’s hometown team.
