Steph Curry is officially set to return to action on Saturday evening in Toronto, but the Warriors’ star point guard won’t have assistant coach Bruce Fraser there to help coach Curry through his pregame routine.
According to a report from Tim Bontemps of The Washington Post, Fraser is not with the team in Canada due to an unspecified “passport issue.”
Warriors assistant coach Bruce Fraser isn’t with the team because of a passport issue. He works out Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant before every game.

Fraser has been with the team since 2014, and preliminary research indicates he’s had no issue traveling to international destinations with the Warriors in the past. Fraser joined the Warriors in their preseason trip to China, so the passport issue appears to have occurred recently.
Ironically, Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr was forced to take a different plane to China in October due to his own passport issue. Kerr ended up arriving a day late on that venture, but that was the only reported passport incident any member of the Warriors incurred.
The Warriors play the Raptors on Saturday night before returning to the United States to play in Cleveland on Monday against the Cavaliers.
