JaVale McGee on the Curry injury: "Everyone has a TV. I fell into him. I know y'all don't think I'm sitting here like, 'Yes, I fell into him.' That's the star player…I feel very bad that I was a part of that." pic.twitter.com/wRhGrhdQU3

OAKLAND – “It’s like a juju or something.”
That’s what JaVale McGee had to say about the injury bug the Golden State Warriors have caught. Friday night the Warriors were without Durant (right rib soreness), Draymond Green (pelvic contusion), Klay Thompson (fractured right thumb), and Omri Casspi (sprained right ankle). Then this happened:

McGee went up for a block in the third quarter against the Atlanta Hawks, and fell on Stephen Curry’s left leg. Curry exited the game immediately, and the Warriors training staff took him to the locker room. Since then, the Warriors have diagnosed the injury as a left MCL sprain. He will undergo a an MRI on Saturday.
After the game, McGee spoke with reporters about the incident.
“That’s the star player. Of course, we don’t want him to be injured,” McGee said. “I feel very bad for the fact that I was a part of that … I was trying to block a shot, and I ran into him.”
Kerr called the mood in the locker room somber after Curry picked up another injury, the day he returned from a sprained ankle. Luckily for the Warriors, it seems like none of the injuries they have endured are season ending. With the two seed all but locked up, it will be interesting to see how Kerr handles playing time going forward.
