OAKLAND – Before the Golden State Warriors hosted the Milwaukee Bucks Thursday night, a reporter asked Steve Kerr about Giannis Antetokounmpo. Kerr compared the ‘Greek Freak’ to Kevin Durant.

“He reminds me a little bit of Kevin,” Kerr said. “Just the build, and length, and the athleticism is such an amazing combination. I would say Giannis is a little bit more of a point-forward. Kevin’s more of a scorer and a shooter. But they make similar impacts on the game because they can literally play any position, handle the ball, make plays, block shots. Giannis is just tremendous, and really fun to watch.”

Antetokounmpo chose to emulate another Golden State superstar, however, in pregame warmups.

The Bucks forward was spotted practicing Stephen Curry’s patented dribbling exercise. Antetokounmpo did a variety of dribbling variations with two balls, similar to Curry, who has popularized the pregame routine.

Antetokounmpo couldn’t keep up with Curry’s dribbling speed, but the Bucks forward ended the routine with a thunderous dunk out of Curry’s repertoire.

The two All-Stars won’t match up on Thursday night, with Curry resting his sprained left knee. Antetokounmpo has enjoyed a career year, averaging 27.2 points, 10 rebounds, and 4.8 assists.

The Bucks are the projected No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference, remaining 4.5 games ahead of the next closest team. The Warriors have all but locked up the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference.

The Warriors and Bucks will tip off at 7:30 p.m.
