Warriors two-way point guard Quinn Cook has played quite impressively since being called up from G League affiliate Santa Cruz after Stephen Curry’s MCL injury, and with Curry still out for at least the first round of the playoffs, the Warriors appear to have signed him to the full-time roster.
Yahoo Sports’ Shams Charania reported Sunday that Cook and the Warriors agreed to a multi-year pro contract.
Sources: The Warriors and guard Quinn Cook have agreed on a multiyear deal that Cook is expected to sign by Tuesday. Golden State released Omri Casspi on Saturday to create roster space.

Cook has flourished as the Warriors’ starting point guard in Curry’s absence, averaging 15.9 points per game in the team’s last 10 games and scoring in double figures in each of the last 14.
The contract is somewhat of an improbable accomplishment for Cook, who mostly spent the first two years of his professional career in the then-D-League.
As Charania mentions, the Warriors waived Omri Casspi to make room for Cook on the full-time 15-man roster. Casspi, who signed with the Warriors on a veteran minimum contract for less money than other teams offered him, showed promise but struggled with injuries and was unable to crack the team’s rotation on a consistent basis.
