SAN FRANCISCO —Just when you think Mac Williamson couldn’t stay this hot, he does this.
The San Francisco Giants pulled ahead in the 6th inning on Tuesday, when Williamson crushed another 400-plus-foot homer to center field, his third jack in five starts. The solo shot gave the Giants a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning.
His home run tonight was the fourth hardest hit homer of the season for the Giants. Williamson also claims the first and second hardest as well.
This hit was made even more impressive by the fact that Williamson, just two innings prior, took a nasty, head-first dive into the wall along the third-baseline, trying to catch a foul ball by Bryce Harper, and save Ty Blach from a two out jam with two runners on.
San Francisco has hit 25 home runs this season and have gone yard in each of the last six games. Forty of the Giants’ 74 runs scored have come from homers, accounting for 56.76% of their runs this year.
