Steve Kerr has won the 2017-18 Rudy Tomjanovich Award, which honors an NBA coach for both cooperation with the media and fans and on-court excellence, the Professional Basketball Writers Association announced Monday morning.

Kerr beat out four coaches — Charlotte Hornets’ Steve Clifford, Houston Rockets’ Mike D’Antoni, Los Angeles Clippers’ Doc Rivers, and Boston Celtics’ Brad Stevens. Kerr has won the Rudy Tomjanovich Award twice— the other coming during his rookie coaching season in 2014-15— in the eight years since the honor was created.

In only his fourth season as Warriors head coach, Kerr has already brought home more hardware than most coaches in an entire career. He has won two NBA championships (2015 and 2017) and NBA Coach of the Year during the 2015-2016 season in which Golden State set an NBA record with a 73-9 regular season record.

Kerr led Golden State to a 58-24 record during the 2017-18 regular season. With their 126-85 win over the Houston Rockets Sunday night, the Warriors lead 2-1 in the Western Conference Finals.
