Thompson to play, Iguodala ruled out for Game 5

After both being listed as questionable on Thursday afternoon, Klay Thompson will play in Game 5 while Andre Iguodala will not, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr announced before the game.

“Day-to-day,” Kerr said of Iguodala. “He’s dying to play, but he’s not healthy enough to play.”

Iguodala missed Game 4 after sustaining a left leg injury while colliding with James Harden in Game 3. Though initially thought to be minor, Kerr told reporters before Tuesday’s game that Iguodala is “injured.” Here’s the play in question.

Thompson’s knee issue seems less serious, as the Warriors guard continued to play in Game 4 after sustaining the injury in the second quarter. Thompson didn’t exactly look like himself, however, going 4-of-13 from the field while scoring just 10 points.

It is likely that Kevon Looney will remain in the starting lineup in Iguodala’s absence.
