For the first time since sustaining a scary spine injury on March 31, Patrick McCaw will be on the bench in a Warriors uniform for Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals Saturday evening, Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports is reporting.
The Golden State Warriors are planning to activate Pat McCaw for Game 6 tonight against Houston, league sources tell Yahoo. McCaw is expected to be in uniform for first time since scary injury on March 31.

The news is a huge surprise, as all reports over the last two months have indicated that McCaw had no chance at a return this season. McCaw had trouble walking and sleeping for the first month of his recovery, which has been a slow process according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.
The Warriors are starved for wing depth, however, especially with Andre Iguodala still questionable for Game 6. Shaun Livingston, Nick Young and Quinn Cook have been the only reserve guards/wings available to the Warriors over the last two games. One of Golden State’s centers, likely JaVale McGee or Zaza Pachulia, will be deactivated Saturday to make room for McCaw.
McCaw, 22, had a rough sophomore season before his injury, averaging four points in 16.9 minutes per game while shooting just 40.9 percent from the field.
