Andre Iguodala will not play in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said during his pregame presser on Sunday evening. This will be the sixth consecutive game Iguodala has missed since sustaining a bone bruise in his left knee during Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

“I’m optimistic Andre will play at some point this series,” Kerr said. “He has gotten better gradually, but there’s no way of knowing for sure at this point.”

Kerr also said that Klay Thompson is a game time decision for Game 2, with a lingering ankle issue sustained during the first quarter of Game 1, when J.R. Smith took out Thompson’s legs as he slipped trying to make a steal.

“Klay will warm up and we’ll see,” Kerr said. “He was doing better this morning.

“It just seems like Klay is never injured. I don’t really remember, other than this year when he had his wrist, I don’t remember him ever being hobbled before.”

Thompson scored 24 points on 8-for-16 shooting in Game 1.
