Andre Iguodala, perhaps the least heralded but one of the most important components of the Warriors’ Hamptons Five lineup, has missed six straight games since suffering a bone bruise after colliding with James Harden’s knee in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals. The Warriors have been judicious and conservative with Iguodala’s recovery, but it appears they may not have to wait much longer for his return.
Chris Haynes of ESPN reported Monday that Iguodala “hasn’t experienced any pain over the last few days and plans to return for the NBA Finals.” Additionally, he noted that Iguodala’s condition has improved to the point where he can participate in extended workouts: “On Saturday, Iguodala progressed enough to go through a full personal workout and sprinted for the first time since sustaining a bone bruise in his left knee in Game 3 of the conference finals.”
Despite this development, Haynes noted that Iguodala’s status for Game 3 Wednesday in Cleveland is still unknown. The Warriors have not yet made an official announcement about Iguodala’s status for Wednesday’s game.
