Four days after signing him, the Giants have reportedly traded catcher Tom Murphy to the Seattle Mariners, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network. The Giants reportedly received right-handed pitcher Jesus Ozoria in the deal. Ozoria was a 2018 Dominican League All-Star.
Giants acquired RHP Jesus Ozoria (20.9Y, 6’2”, 195) from Seattle in exchange for C Tom Murphy. He was a 2017 IFA signing out of the Dominican Republic.

Murphy, 27, was claimed on waivers from the Colorado Rockies by the Giants on March 25. He appeared in one spring training game, going 1-for-2, but was not selected for the club’s opening day 25-man roster. Murphy spent the last four seasons with the Rockies, appearing in 81 games while posting a slash line of .219/.271/.439.
