Mac Williamson is getting another shot with the big league club. After a night where he hit three home runs for Triple-A Sacramento, including one with an approximate distance of 511 feet, the 28-year old outfielder was called up to the Giants on Tuesday, according to Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports. Williamson will join the team in Denver for their game vs. the Rockies Tuesday evening.

Williamson has been on a tear in Triple-A to start the season, posting a .378 batting average, .459 on-base percentage, 1.215 OPS, and nine home runs in just 98 plate appearances. Just over a month ago it looked like Williamson’s time with the Giants was done after he was scratched from the opening day roster for the likes of Connor Joe and Michael Reed.

This is the second consecutive year that Williamson has impressed his way to an early season call-up. Last year Williamson was called up on April 20 and produced immediately, hitting three home runs in his first five games. It appeared as if the Giants had found their left fielder of the future, until a concussion sustained by tripping over the bullpen mound permanently derailed his season.

In 306 big-league at-bats over the past four years, Williamson has four home runs and a slash line of .222/.295/.386. It is unclear at this time who will be sent down to make room for Williamson on the 25-man roster.
