After the Warriors wild Game 5 victory on Wednesday, Steve Kerr let it fly during his postgame presser.
“I don’t know if you’re a soccer fan but Liverpool came out with one of the great wins in soccer history,” Kerr began. “After the match their manager Jurgen Klopp said, ‘The young kids in Liverpool are probably asleep by now so I’m just going to go-ahead and say it, our boys are fucking giants.’ That’s what he said, and I know how he feels. So I apologize to my mom who is probably watching, but our guys are fucking giants. Like that was an unbelievable victory tonight.”
Golden State looked dead in the water after a disastrous third quarter that saw Kevin Durant leave with a calf strain, and the Warriors squander what was a double-digit half-time lead. But Curry and Co. rallied back, and guaranteed at least one more game in Oracle Area, taking a 3-2 lead in the series with the 104-99 victory.
