It’s rare you see Klay Thompson as visibly upset as he was during Warriors shootaround on Thursday. Anthony Slater of The Athletic broke the news to Thompson that he was left off all three All-NBA teams for the third consecutive season. Here are the selections:

In fact, Thompson wasn’t even the top guard to miss the cut. Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards received more total votes.

“Oh I didn’t!” Klay said when informed he wasn’t selected. He then rolled his eyes when told that Kemba Walker was chosen ahead of him.
“I mean that’s cool and all but like, when you go to five straight Finals — I respect those guys — but when you go to five straight it takes more than just a couple All-NBA guys, it’s an all-time team,” Thompson said. “But whatever. I’d rather win a championship than be third-team All-NBA. It’s all good.”
Adding insult to injury, Thompson not being selected costs him around $30 million this offseason, as he’s now no longer eligible for a supermax deal.
“It is what it is. I can’t control it. Do I think there’s that many guards in the league better than me? No. That’s the reason why we’re still playing. I don’t even want to get into it honestly.”
