Despite the fact that the Warriors don’t expect Kevin Durant to be ready for Thursday’s Game 1 of the NBA Finals, the two-time Finals MVP will join Golden State on their trip to Toronto, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports is reporting.

The update is good news, considering Durant was not healthy enough to travel with the team to Portland for Games 3 and 4 of the Western Conference Finals. Durant has missed the last five games with a calf strain sustained in Game 5 of the Western Conference semis vs. the Houston Rockets. Durant will be reevaluated on Wednesday, after last week’s update that the team is hopeful he will return at some point during the Finals.

DeMarcus Cousins, who has been out since tearing his quad during the first round, will also be traveling with the team, and is listed as questionable for Game 1.
