If you’re upset about Andre Iguodala leaving the Warriors, this next rumor might put you over the edge.
Iguodala was moved on Sunday in a trade to the Grizzlies to make cap space after the sign-and-trade of Kevin Durant for D’Angelo Russell. Iguodala’s value is mitigated significantly on a rebuilding Memphis team, making him a likely buyout candidate, something that would make him an unrestricted free agent. If that happens, expect a certain Warriors rival to come calling according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN.
Rockets would be among the teams with strong interest in Andre Iguodala if he receives a buyout from the Grizzlies, per sources.

Iguodala, 35, has one-year left on a deal due to pay him over $17 million next season. Iguodala best playoff series was against the Rockets this postseason, where he averaged 13.5 points while shooting over 48 percent from three-point range during the six game series.
The acquisition of Iguodala would be significant for Houston, who never really were able to replace the valuable wing defense of Trevor Ariza last season. After a period of apparent turmoil, the Rockets now once again look like one of the favorites in a Western Conference that has been turned upside down in a matter of days. Acquiring Iguodala would only strengthen their claim.
