On Sunday, the Warriors received three players in their sign-and-trade with the Brooklyn Nets. On Monday, only one of those players, D’Angelo Russell, remains. Golden State have moved both Shabazz Napier and Treveon Graham to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a trade along with cash, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The move appears to be another maneuver to free up cap space, as the Warriors are now not allowed to exceed the hard cap set at $138.9 million. According to cap expert Bobby Marks, the move saves Golden State about $250,000. Golden State currently has around $17 million to spend on the remainder of their roster for next season.
Golden State saves about $250K by not taking back Graham/Napier (combined $3.48). Both players would need to be replaced with a $1.62M minimum player.
