While the Golden State Warriors’ roster composition has shifted monumentally over the past days, it may be the smaller transactions in the near future that determine how the 2019-20 season plays out. One of those smaller transactions is the expected signing of Ky Bowman, a guard from Boston College, according to Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle.

The signing would take up one of the Warriors’ two possible two-way contracts, leaving the Warriors with one two-way contract left to hand out. At 6’1″, Bowman averaged 19 points (40 percent from the field, 37.4 percent from 3-point (2.5/6.8 per game), 76.1 percent from FT), 7.5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.5 turnovers per game last season. He scored 6 points on 2-of-4 three-point shooting along with one rebound, assist, steal and turnover in his 16 minutes of Summer League play on Monday night.

At this point, the Warriors have the following players committed to this year’s roster (Shaun Livingston is likely to be waived by the July 10 guarantee date in his contract), and the youngest roster they’ve had in years, with Curry, at age 31, the oldest player on the roster:

Stephen Curry

Klay Thompson

Draymond Green

D’Angelo Russell

Kevon Looney

Damian Jones

Jacob Evans

Alfonzo McKinnie

Jordan Poole (yet to sign, but will sign standard first-round pick contract)

Eric Paschall (yet to sign, unclear what type of contract, likely a multi-year deal at least semi-guaranteed)

Alen Smailagic (yet to sign, unclear what type of contract)

Ky Bowman (two-way)

If both Paschall and Smailagic sign non-two-way contracts, which is likely, the Warriors will have four open roster spots and one available two-way contract to hand out after Bowman officially signs.
