Hunter Pence is the most entertaining player on the Giants, and it’s not all that close. He’s the ideal candidate for a mic’d up segment, and that’s what the Giants did, putting a mic on Pence during a spring training practice in early March.
Pence lives up to his reputation as an immensely positive, energetic teammate in the above clip. Taking fielding practice with the excitement of a little leaguer, all while telling Brandon Crawford that he can pick the ball as well as a shortstop.
“I don’t know why I’m not a shortstop Craw,” he says after fielding a grounder, making a 360 degree turn and firing the ball back into the infield.
