If you thought NFL GMs might have issues with the move to an all-virtual draft, you were correct.
Monday’s trail run of this Thursday’s festivities sounds like a nightmare according to those with inside information. There were issues right from the start at 10 PM PST, when the Bengals dealt with a technical glitch while making the first pick. The communication and bandwidth issue continued throughout, notably when the 32 NFL general managers had their mics on simultaneously.

The circumstances surrounding Thursday’s remote draft were already going to make the event the most bizarre in NFL history, but the significant-sounding issues with Monday’s trail run open up the possibility for an absolute mess.
As a reminder, all NFL front office staffers — including the 32 GMs — with be at their homes, alone, during the draft.
