The 49ers have finally found themselves a trade partner to move Marquise Goodwin. General manager John Lynch has been wide open over the course of the last week that the team was trying to trade Goodwin, and that multiple discussions were ongoing. Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, that trade partner has emerged in the Philadelphia Eagles, who were looking for speed at wide receiver.

The fact that the 49ers were able to get a deal done for Goodwin, after receiving a fifth-round pick for running back Matt Breida, is commendable. The team reportedly allowed Goodwin to speak to interested teams about negotiating a new deal, given that he is due $4.91 million this season and $7.63 million in 2021.
In exchange for Goodwin, the 49ers moved up to pick 190 from 210.
49ers’ three trades today:
? WR Marquise Goodwin and a 6th-round pick (210) to the Eagles’ for a 6th-round pick (190).
? RB Matt Breida to the Dolphins’ for a 5th-round pick.
? A fifth-round pick this year and third next year to Washington for OT Trent Williams.

Given the fact that he’s caught for more than 431 yards literally once in his career, and has 13 touchdowns in his seven-year career, and again, was due $4.91 million, that’s a tremendous deal. Through the Breida and Goodwin trades, the 49ers have cleared a substantial amount of cap space, and could be positioned to make another trade, potentially for a tight end.
