The draft might be over, the players are still flying off the board.

The 49ers signed several undrafted free agents following Saturday’s festivities according to multiple reports. The signings include Washington RB Salvon Ahmed, Missouri DB DeMarkus Acy, Baylor RB JaMycal Hasty, Notre Dame WR Chris “The Slippery Fox” Finke, North Central (Ill.) College QB Broc Rutter, Arkansas TE Chase Harrell, Alabama safety Jared Mayden, Missouri safety Ronnell Perkins and Indiana State LB Jonas Griffith.

The group joins draft picks DL Javon Kinlaw, WR Brandon Aiyuk, OT Colton McKivitz, TE Charlie Woerner, WR Jauan Jennings and OT Trent Williams as the new bodies in camp.

Two players stand out amongst the undrafted group. First is Broc Rutter, both for his name and the fact that he’s a quarterback. Rutter established new NCAA Division III national records for career passing yards (14,265), and completed 309 of 435 passes (71.0 percent) for 4,591 yards and 56 touchdowns, setting North Central single-season records in all categories last season.

The second player of note is Finke, due to his incredible nickname, “The Slippery Fox”. Finke apparently was bestowed the moniker because, you guessed it, he’s difficult to tackle. Finke caught 41 passes for 456 yards and scored four TDs for the Irish last year. Like seemingly every receiver Kyle Shanahan is interested in, he also returned punts.
