Of course he didn’t want anyone to catch anything.
Dr. Anthony Fauci was rewarded for being the most trusted voice in the country during the coronavirus pandemic, by being given the honor of throwing out the first pitch of the 2020 baseball season. As they say, no good deed goes unpunished.
The typically cool under pressure Fauci is a huge Nationals fan, but wasn’t able to find the plate on Thursday, with the ball landing a quarter-way up the first base line and rolling to the backstop.
Here’s where we’d normally crack a few jokes at Fauci’s expense, but we’re gonna cut the 79-year old a break considering everything he’s done for this country.
Plus, the video speaks for itself.
