Home plate umpire Angel Hernandez was, well, Angel Hernandez last night.
The least popular umpire in all of baseball lived up to his reputation, giving baffling calls from behind the dish throughout the Giants-Dodgers contest. Here are two egregious examples:

That last call, which missed by about four inches, was so baffling, Buster Posey was rendered speechless.
Ángel Hernández is gonna Ángel Hernández

It wasn’t just the Giants who were annoyed by Hernandez. After his postgame media session, Dodgers starting pitcher Trevor Bauer offered a parting shot at Hernandez as he got up from his chair.
“Surprised no one asked about fucking Angel Hernandez.”
Hernandez’s ineptness is not just based on anecdotal evidence and reputation. He is responsible for the worst called game of the MLB season, incorrectly calling 24 balls and strikes for a correct call percentage of just 83.2% earlier this year.
