Well that didn’t take long.
In his Giants debut just two days after being acquired in a blockbuster deadline trade, Kris Bryant brought Oracle Park to its feet with a solo home run in the third inning on Sunday.
The solo shot is even more incredible when you consider that Bryant’s former Cubs teammates who were also traded at the deadline, Javy Baez and Anthony Rizzo, hit home runs in their debuts with the Mets and Yankees, respectively.
Bryant is now the eighth San Francisco Giant whose first hit was a home run, joining his current teammate Brandon Crawford on that list.
