Davante Adams shoves cameraman after Raiders lose to Chiefs

Davante Adams was frustrated after the Raiders brutal 30-29 loss to the Chiefs on Monday. So frustrated, he shoved a random person to the ground.

Videos caught Adams pushing a cameraman over as he walked into the tunnel following Monday’s game. The cameraman didn’t seem to do anything except for walk in front of Adams as he was exiting the field. He admitted as much in his less-than-convincing apology in the locker room.

“Before I answer anything else I want to apologize to the guy…some guy running off the field and he ran and jumped in front of me and I bumped into him and kind of pushed him and he ended up on the ground, so I wanted to say sorry to him,” Adams said. “That was just frustration mixed with him literally just running in front of me. Shouldn’t have responded that way but that’s obviously how I responded and I want to apologize to him for that.”

Sure sounds like there’s some massaging of the truth there, but at least he apologized. Though his actions don’t have much defense, Adams’ frustration does. The Raiders had a real chance to upset the Chiefs on Monday, but blew the opportunity thanks to penalties, and ill-advised two-point conversion attempt and Adams’ inability to get two feet down on a late completion that could have helped put the Raiders in field-goal range.
