College football is not in a good place. As the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread across the world and particularly in the United States, multiple collegiate athletic conferences and individual schools have pulled the plug on their seasons, and in some cases, on sports as a whole. Some are postponed, and some may not ever return.
The Pac-12 has become the latest conference to cancel its football season, as was voted on Tuesday. “We’re done,” a source told Stadium’s Brett McMurphy. An official announcement is set to come Tuesday afternoon.

This comes after the Big Ten announced it would postpone the fall football season and attempt to push it to the spring. Per Yahoo! Sports columnist Dan Wetzel, the ACC, Big 12 and SEC will all, at least for now, plan to continue with their fall seasons.
General consensus in college sports is Pac 12 will follow soon, perhaps today. The ACC, B12 and SEC will continue forward with football, at least for now (everything can change with the virus).

It’s yet unclear how college football will, or if it will, recover from this. Multiple schools and conferences in this multi-billion dollar industry, which brings in more money than any other college sport, and which relies on free student-athlete labor, will forego millions, unlike the NFL and MLB, which will take massive losses, but still secure revenue.
