Chip off the old block?
Jerry Rice’s son, Brenden Rice, sure looked like his old man on Saturday morning, when he flew by defenders en route to a punt return touchdown for the University of Colorado.
Rice, a freshman receiver, went untouched for 81 yards vs. the University of Utah, flashing the stride and speed that reminded one of his father’s time with the 49ers.
Like his dad, Rice was a high school track star at Hamilton High School in Arizona, running the 100-yard-dash in 10.78 seconds.
