OAKLAND–A Steve Kerr fashion statement.
Yes, you read that correctly.
On Friday evening, Kerr arrived on the court at Oracle Arena in a 1970s-inspired suit to honor Golden State Warriors’ legend Al Attles, a longtime player and coach whose No. 16 is retired by the franchise.
Golden State is celebrating “Al Attles Night” on Friday as the team plays host to the Washington Wizards, and Kerr said he would honor Attles by wearing a suit similar to the ones that Attles donned when he was roaming the sidelines for the Warriors.

Attles was hospitalized this week and will not be in attendance at Friday’s contest, but the Warriors will recognize his family and plan to show several tribute videos to celebrate what Attles means to the franchise.

Attles was the head coach of the Warriors’ last championship team before Kerr arrived, as he led the 1975 squad to an NBA title.
The first 10,000 fans in attendance on Friday received Al Attles bobbleheads to commemorate their experience.
