Hunter Strickland blew a two-run lead in the Giants’ 5-4 loss against the Miami Marlins in their series opener Monday night. Shortly after he exited the game, Strickland’s emotions boiled over when he punched a door, injuring his pitching hand. He will miss approximately 6-8 weeks with a fractured right hand, according to Giants manager Bruce Bochy.
Fewer than two hours after Bochy gave the news, Strickland apologized in an Instagram post.
