SAN FRANCISCO – Who’s team? Gorkyz team.

Sunday’s game between the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals appeared to be off to a bad start for Giants fans. After fanning Harrison Bader, the first Cardinals batter on the afternoon, Madison Bumgarner gave up a deep fly ball to Tommy Pham.

Hernandez has had a solid year at the plate, but really makes his bread and butter on his defensive play. Sunday was no different.

This summer Gorkyz has played in 111 of the Giants’ 138 games. He’s been a mainstay at the beginning of the lineup, and has the fourth-highest batting average on the team at .263. Only Buster Posey, the departed Eduardo Nunez and Joe Panik hit for a better average for the Giants this year.
