Usually, it’s Steph Curry and Kevin Durant leaving their teammates breathless.
In the waning moments of the Warriors’ 133-103 win over the Mavericks on Monday, all Curry and Durant could do was put their hands over their head and drop their jaws in disbelief.
That’s because rookie Jordan Bell delivered the Warriors’ highlight of the night with an off-the-backboard pass to himself followed by a savage two-handed slam that put an exclamation point on the Golden State win.
The rookie out of Oregon has built a reputation as having insane athleticism, and if there was any doubt about whether Bell has hops, he put those to rest with his vicious fourth quarter dunk.
On a team loaded with sharpshooters and world class athletes, Bell proved Monday that he too can be a human highlight reel when called upon. The Oregon product wound up with six points in the Warriors’ win, but also finished with a plus-14 during his time on the floor.
