OAKLAND–Steph Curry wasn’t having a great night from beyond the arc.
But when the game was on the line, the Warriors’ star hit a big-time shot when it mattered most.
On Wednesday evening, a late Curry three-pointer helped the Warriors put away the visiting Toronto Raptors in a thrilling 117-112 final that pushed Golden State to 3-2 on the season and above .500 for the first time this year.
Though Curry was just 3-for-10 from three-point land when he took a Kevin Durant pass in the game’s waning moments, the Warriors’ guard hoisted up what proved to be the game-winner with 32 seconds on the clock.
On the other end of the floor, a Klay Thompson block of a Kyle Lowry layup prevented Toronto from securing an immediate answer, and as the seconds ticked off the clock, it was Curry who was fouled and made two free throws to put the game away.
As you can tell, Curry was excited. But his legs? They were drained.
