Draymond Green can’t remember what he says when he talks trash

OAKLAND–Draymond Green had himself a day at the office Monday night. Green finished with 18 points, fueled by a 4-for-6 performance from beyond the arc.

When Green is hitting threes, the Warriors are near-impossible to beat. With Durant, Curry, and Thompson in the lineup, three of the greatest shooters of all time, teams have to choose to leave someone open if they’re going to double those three. That person usually ends up being Green, who’s shown that he’ll pull the trigger on a deep shot.

He was pulling the trigger against the Heat, and finding the mark all night long. Green was asked after the game what he says to other players when he hits the long ball, but couldn’t come up with anything.

“Yeah, I don’t know man,” Green said. “I play basketball and get lost in the game. I don’t know what I be saying. I don’t remember. I just…I just go as I go I guess. I don’t know.”

There’s a chance that Green’s keeping everything to himself to keep his postgame press conferences PG, but there’s also a chance that Green’s trash talk is so deeply organic that he loses it all once the game is over.

We hope it’s the latter.
