Jordan Bell has become accustomed to sending away opponents at the rim and on Monday night, the Warriors’ rookie authored another highlight-reel moment with a monstrous swat of Lakers’ forward Brandon Ingram.
With Ingram driving to the hoop, Bell came toward the low block and rejected Ingram at the highest point, denying the young Lakers’ star a massive dunk and sending him to the floor in dramatic fashion. As Ingram was lying on the ground, Bell elected to stand over Ingram instead of rushing up the floor for a fast break opportunity, and Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr didn’t take kindly to that decision.
Bell has been known to push Kerr’s buttons, but Kerr might be in the right on this one considering Ingram was forced to go to the Los Angeles locker room and deal with an injury he suffered on his fall. After the block, Kerr pulled Bell at the next dead ball, and though his head coach was angry, Bell received a congratulatory high five from his teammate Draymond Green.
Jordan Bell just rose up for nasty block of Ingram at rim, stayed back to stare him down. Steve Kerr yelling at Bell to get in transition, immediately pulls him to let him know. As he gets to bench, Draymond awaiting with high-5s and congrats on block.
