Durant on if he likes it when Curry swears: ‘F— yeah’

OAKLAND – Kevin Durant doesn’t like to mince his words. That was apparent when he was asked about Steph Curry’s swear-jar moment in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

The morning following a game in which the Golden State Warriors took a 2-1 series lead over the Houston Rockets and Steph Curry proclaimed to all that Oracle Arena was his…um…house, a reporter asked Durant if he likes it when his teammate swears like he did.

“F— yeah,” Durant said before smiling.

“When he releases the F-bomb, of course I like it. That word is an important word when you’re playing basketball. It means so much. I just like his excitement for the game, and his intensity.”

Durant liked Curry’s intensity, and so did the crowd at Oracle Arena Sunday night when Curry found his mojo for the first time in the series. During a all-too-familiar third quarter blitz, Curry was a perfect 7-for-7 on his way to 18 points in the quarter.

The two teams will play Game 4 in Oakland Tuesday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00 PM PT.
