Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals is taking place in Houston, but that didn’t stop Warriors fans from packing Oracle Arena on Monday night. Unfortunately, the Bay Area fans didn’t have much to cheer about in the first half, when Golden State went into the break down 54-43, after shooting just 28.6 percent from three, while committing 10 turnovers.
That all changed during a monster third quarter (shocking right?) when Houston went 0-for-14 from deep, with the Warriors outscoring the Rockets 33-15 in the frame. Curry himself dropped 13 in the quarter, and the crowd at Oracle responded in turn, by going absolutely nuts.
The absence of Paul seemed to have an effect on the Rockets, who were atrocious shooting the ball all game. Houston shot 40 percent from the field, and 7-for-44 from behind the 3-point line.
