Buster Posey has passed his concussion tests and will start for the Giants at first base on Sunday, according to Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic.

Posey sat out Saturday’s game after being rattled by a foul ball off his mask early in Friday’s game vs. the Diamondbacks. Posey left an inning after the incident, telling first-base coach Jose Alguacil that he wasn’t feeling well after hitting a single in the third inning, and was promptly removed from the game “to be watched for concussion symptoms,” according to the club.

Posey will look to give the faltering Giants a spark, after being blown out in consecutive losses to Arizona, and falling six games out of first place in the NL West. Arizona LHP Robbie Ray is 4-1 with a 2.84 ERA in 10 career starts against the Giants heading into Sunday’s series finale. Giants starter Derek Holland is 0-1 with a 4.61 ERA in three career starts against the Diamondbacks.
