Shaw, 24, is currently listed as the club’s No. 4 prospect according to MLB. A first-round pick by the Giants in 2015, this is Shaw’s first call up to the major league club. Shaw was drafted as a first baseman, but has found a home in left field this season after bouncing back and forth between the two positions.
In his first full season at Triple-A Sacramento, Shaw is posting a slash line of .259/.308/.505.
